About me and the newsletter

My name is Andrew Grant, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as a new partner at Ketsal PLLC (website profile in progress!). I’m passionate about staying on top of the latest developments in fintech, financial services generally, virtual assets, and eCommerce. I’ve been writing about these topics for some time, most recently at DLA Piper.

Overall, I’ve been practicing law for about 15 years, advising banks, non-banks, fintechs, blockchain technology companies, and numerous others on a wide range of regulatory, compliance, and transactional issues. And one of the things I have discovered is that I learn more about these industries and the underlying technology by writing about what I read. So, I figured, why not continue this tradition through my own newsletter? I plan to cover a wide range of legal topics about these industries in varying depths. Sometimes, articles will be longer and cover a topic in-depth, while other times, I'll just highlight some recent items that caught my attention. Frequently, my newsletter will be a blend of both.

How often will I publish? Not sure yet! Probably about once a month for more in-depth pieces and summaries of legal developments, but maybe more frequently for pertinent developments or those issues that would benefit from being written about sooner rather than later.
